My Entry Into Energy Healing
After graduating High School in 1989, I was invited to an event at the School of Healing Arts in Pacific Beach. It was an evening that opened up an entirely new world for me, and changed the course of my life forever. By 1992, I was graduating from SOHA as a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Zen-Touch Shiatsu Practitioner. During my time there, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to spend two years studying with Seymour Koblin (NCCAOM Diplomate, ABT, HHP, Kushi Institute CI, PhD) in his Zen-Touch Shiatsu Program. It is here where I started to understand the energetic breadth and depth of the human body.

During my time at SOHA, my studies were focused on the meridian system and how energy flows—or does not flow—within the body. Through extensive case studies, I came to see how everything from our emotions, our thoughts, our experiences - both past and present - can directly affect our health and vitality. More importantly, I learned how simply shifting these patterns allows the body to return to balance and self heal.
In 1993, I was invited to teach in SOHA’s Zen-Touch Shiatsu Program, where I guided hundreds of students in the foundations of Shiatsu, Acupressure, Yin/Yang Nutrition, and Five Element theory.
In 1994, I began a lifelong mentorship with Yoneko Nakachi, HHP, who guided me in understanding the vastness of the human energy body through hands-on energy healing techniques, the 4 Chairs Technique to realign all the parts of oneself, and the power of sacred medicine.
In 1998, I began an 8 year journey with Kumu Hula Pam “Pohai” Daugherty, whose teachings in Hawai'ian culture instilled in me the interconnected nature of all things and the grace of heart-centered healing.
In 2001, I began a four-year internship with Dr. Nathan Cohen, D.C., where I was able to witness his patients heal in remarkable ways, gaining deeper insight into the importance of structural alignment, nutrition, and the value of always listening to the body's own intelligence.
Over the next 10 years, I continued to be a student and teacher of energy healing focusing on my human clients while always working on my own animals. That all changed in 2013.
My Work With Animals
I grew up in Rancho Santa Fe, California surrounded by horses, dogs, cats and a variety of other beloved animal family members. During those formative years, spontaneous telepathic communication was a natural part of life.
In 2013, I met Joan Ranquet and began a formal two year training program in Animal Communication, Scalar Wave, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) For Animals through Communication With All Life University. My time at CWAL provided grounded, real-world experience with a variety of animal species and honed my ability to use these tools as catalysts for true transformation and healing. In 2014, as part of my elective courses, I was introduced to Reiki by Rachel Carey, a gifted Reiki Master, and received all three levels of Reiki attunements and discovered the brilliance of Linda Tellington Jones and her T-Touch Method.
In 2014 I began working with SPOT Rescue and was introduced to dog psychology based trainers who informed my understanding of dogs' social needs, instinctual drives, range
of temperaments and personalities. I spent hundreds of hours shadowing these trainers and soon began to blend my intuitive and telepathic skills with my understanding of dogs as a whole. Over the following years, I became a special needs foster for
dogs with complex health and behavioral challenges. My skills were continually refined
through hands-on experience, supporting animals through illness, injury, and behavioral issues, giving me the opportunity to exercise animal communication and energy healing in real and often urgent scenarios. Every foster dog that came through my home made amazing progress and went on to thrive in loving homes of their very own.
In 2016 I began working with Dr. Susie Crawford, a Human,
Equine, and Canine Chiropractor and Craniosacral Therapist,
whose understanding of the body, mind and spirit took my
breath away. Her guidance as a lifelong mentor has deepened my
understanding of the physical structure of the body and its energetic
biomechanics in truly miraculous ways. Dr. Susie continues to
support my work with both people and animals.
In 2016 I began actively working with horses competing at the highest levels of national and International of Show Jumping and Dressage, including horses who competed at the Pan Am Games and Tokyo Olympics. Working with high level equine athletes has been a unique opportunity to see energetic biomechanics in action and the value of accuracy in assessing and working with the body in motion.
In early 2019, I was invited to teach at The Art of Canine Psychology workshop hosted by Faithful Canine Dog Training,
where I had the pleasure of demonstrating the power of
communication and energy healing to 15 dog trainers
specializing in severe behavior cases. I continue to work with
many of these trainers today, supporting dogs navigating severe emotional wounds and maladaptive behaviors to find their way back to balance.
In late 2019, Fleetwood, a retired 16-year-old Oldenburg Grand Prix Schoolmaster, came into my life and opened the door to a deeper understanding of the equine world—forever changing my own. We spent our first eight months together at Carolyn Resnick’s ranch, immersed in her teachings, where my connection to horses deepened in truly humbling ways.
In 2025, I met Sonya Francoise, a gifted horse trainer, who
welcomed Fleetwood and I into her program at Wild Rose
Equestrian. Today, Sonya and I actively work together to
ensure all the horses in her program, from family trail horse
to high level competition horses, are in the best condition
mentally, emotionally and physically.

My Life's Work With People & Animals
Over my life, my approach has evolved into a fully integrative practice that includes resetting the nervous system (releasing limbic system fixations), supporting the flow of the body's energetic systems (meridians, chakras, auric field), emotional healing, energetic biomechanics (releasing energetic restrictions that affect movement), and the release or resetting of energetic patterns to allow for optimum health and vitality for people and animals.
Today, I draw on my collective experiences, with people and animals, as the foundation for the energy work I share with clients around the world. This work is an invitation to reconnect with the body and soul's innate wisdom allowing for true healing.
